Dr.
Kanai Lal Ghatak (Ph.D),
retired as a Reader, Department of Chemistry, Durgapur
Govt. College, Durgapur.Joined the Presidency
College Calcutta in 1965 as a Lecturer where he taught Chemistry both
at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Received his Ph. D. Degree
of the University
of Calcutta in 1972. Went abroad to join the University
of Bern, Switzerland and then the University
of Ulm, West Germany as a Postdoctoral fellow during the period 1973
to 1976.Again in 1983 he had been abroad to join the University
of Zuerich and then the ETH( Edgenoeschisse
Technische Hochschule) Zuerich, Switzerland and carried out post doctoral
research during 1983 to 1987.His area of research during his doctoral
work as also during stay abroad was synthetic organic chemistry.During
his service tenure in the Government of West Bengal Education Service
he served in as many as four
Colleges spanning
a period
of 36 1/2 years
which includes the period of his responsibility
as the
head of the
department of two of the colleges. |

Dr.
Debidas Chattoraj (Ph.D), joined West Bengal
Education Service in 1973 after completing M.Sc degree in Applied Mathematics
under University of
Calcutta in the same year. Since then the author served a number of
Government Colleges as a faculty of Mathematics. He did his Ph.D degree
in 1980 and published several papers in 1980 and published several papers
in National and International journals and participated in several national
and international seminars and addressed seminars as a resource person
in Mathematics. In 1996 he joined West Bengal Senior Education Service
and was posted as Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics
in Presidency
College, Kolkata and still continuing in that position. He has experience
of teaching Mathematics Honours for more than thirty three years. A book
on mechanics for U.G
and P.G students
was co-authored
by Prof. Chattoraj.
For more than
three
decades he is
deeply engaged in assessing Mathematical ability of students belonging
to different strata.

Mr. Mrityunjoy Goswami
, M.Sc
(Mathematics). B.Ed (C.U). M. Phil is a senior Mathematics teacher of
M.C.K.V.
(Howrah). He has a rich experience in teaching in CBSE,
ICSE & ISC
Classes. Besides he has been working as a part-time teacher in NIOS.
He has been trying to instil love for Mathematics amongst the students.
The book under the title ‘e-book on CBSE
Mathematics-class XII. Tioli Publication” is a part of this

Soma RoyChowdhury (Ph.d), is an experienced teacher in
Biological Science for the last nine years. She has received doctoral
degree from the University
of Kolkata specializing in the field of Physiology and Biochemistry
in cancer biology. By profession Dr. RoyChowdhury is a scientist, with
her expertise in Oncology. She was associated as Senior Investigator in
Chittaranjan
National Cancer Institute, kolkata from 1997-2005. Presently she is
the research Co-ordinator in Cancer
Foundation of India, Kolkata. She has co-ordinated a number of research
projects under national and international collaborations. As a teacher
Dr. RoyChowdhury is a study co-ordinator in renowned educational institute.
She has a number of research publications in national and international
journals. She is also the author of text book of Life Science of Seconday
Education (new syllabus-2005) under
West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. |

Dr.Sontosh.Kumar.Paul
Ph.D(Management Accounting), (born in 1947) the Reader and the Head of
the Department of Accountancy, City College, South Kolkata, is an M.Com,
University of Calcutta, PhD (in Management Accounting) from the same University.
After completing his Masters Degree, he joined the City College in 1972.
Within a short span of time he reached the pinnacle of success and was
popular among the students by dint of his valued teachings. He is associated
with various examination bodies at the Council, University, and the various
institutes in different forms and fashion. He is a life member of Indian
Accounting Association. He is also a member of the British Institute of
Management, London, U.K. A large number of outstanding publications lie
in his credit, which has been appreciated by the eminent academicians
and scholars of different parts of the country. He is also associated
with the institutes of Cost and Works Accountants of India. |

Prof.
Debes Mukhopadhyay, a renowned academician, has been teaching
economics at St. Paul’s C. M. College, Kolkata since 1973. Starting
his stint as an author from 1980, today he has more than 20 books to his
credit both in English and Bengali. His contributions to this vast field
of economics have been diverse and outstanding as he has achieved the
rare feet of writing books for students from elementary school stage to
Honours and Post Graduate level. Two of his books have been recommended
as ‘Undergraduate texts’ by almost all the Universities of
West Bengal. Professor Mukhopadhyay has been greatly acclaimed in academic
circles for his publications namely ‘Indian Economic History’
and ‘Development Policies, Problems and Institutions’ meant
for Economics Honours students. Out of the various branches of this social
science his area of research is Health Economics. |

Prof.
Chiranjib Das is an academician to be reckoned with in the firmament
of Commercial Studies. After conjuring up an illustrious academic background,
Shri Das is now involved in manifold responsibilities, dispersing his
expertise eloquently. Apart from being the Assistant Teacher of Accounts
and Commerce since June 1990 in St. Joseph & Mary’s School,
he is attached with Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata, as a lecturer in
the Department of Accountancy from September 1999. He has bagged the rare
opportunity to be an External Research Scholar for Ph.D in Netaji Subhas
Open University. After authoring “Commercial Studies” at the
ICSE level for standard IX and X, this e-text book titled “Essentials
of Business Studies” is testimony of his credibility. It remains
Shri Das’s endeavour to give new dimensions, innovative ideas in
teaching areas and to be part of an institution providing state-of-art
education aligned to the needs of society and business houses. |
